2nd job
« on: November 29, 2015, 07:51:41 pm »
Is anyone working a part-time seasonal job to make extra cash for the holidays? I see so many signs for help wanted, but when I get to the register, lots of stores have 2 or 3 cashiers.

I do have a 2nd job but it is not seasonal.  I have a regular f/t job and then I serve on staff p/t at my church.  I have been doing that for 34 years.

I pretty much work all the time at my regular job so I don't really have time for a 2nd job!  I only wish I did!  I could use some extra cash this time of the year!

I was actually just about to suggest Uber.  I haven't had their services yet but I've heard good things about the freedom of freelancing.  You and your girlfriend may also want to ask if they have an affiliate partnership program where you could get a percentage of what your referrals spend.

I always see part time help wanted signs posted up for the holidays. They're a great way to earn some holiday cash.   I've been working seasonally for my job since I got my Bachelor's.  It's fine for now, but I'm making moves to move to another position in the same company within the next year.

Seasonal jobs are great for extra cash, but don't spread yourself too thin or you will  be tired to enjoy the benefits.

I'm open to getting a 2nd job since I need to pay bills. I will try to look this season.

My first job varies in hours so much I can be full time one week and part time the following.  So I've fallen back on FC and other online survey sites to make extra $$$.  Year round...rather seasonal so I can keep it rolling.  Doing this allows me the opportunity to rest... kick up my tootsie's and not stress bout' additional responsibilities in another position at another location.

I got a seasonal job in a large national department store last year.  I was on my feet for hours at a time with only a 15 minute break and found out how bad my arthritis is.  I didn't make it through the entire season as my body ached so badly I had to take several OTC pain killers to sleep each night after I worked.  One night I could hardly get out of my car after I got home.  I had worked 7 hours with only the 15 minute break.  I now know that any job needs to be more sedentary.

Good luck on your hunt. I always did the part time thing. At one point, my full-time employment was consisted of 4 part timers, fusioncash is wonderful.  I get paid every six months.
