I think it is getting too expensive to buy a real tree, but I love the fresh pine smell.

How much do you usually pay for your tree and how tall is it?

I haven't bought a fresh Christmas tree (even though I prefer them) in about 10 years. So I don't know what they cost these days. However, I do have a cute little plastic tree (I had for years) that looks just as good, with non of the hassle.

I am not sure. We have always had an artificial. My mom's friend sells them. I think they might start around 70 but I am not sure.

I guess it all depends on the height of the Christmas tree. I seen small Christmas trees for $10. I have a 6 feet Christmas tree for a year now and still in good condition, cost me $25. I guess it depends on the height and what brand.   :-\

I haven't had a tree in years. my mother has  a real one every year
I prefer the real tress I love the smell, the shape and the look of them.
the cost of real ones usually goes by the foot.
I wish I had the room, time and patience for a real tree.

I have no idea since I have not bought a live tree in probably more than 15 years.  I have a small artificial one and I don't even always put it up.  Just depends on my mood and Christmas spirit.

It depends on the type of tree, its height and where you g to buy a Christmas tree.  I am assuming you are talking about a REAL tree.  I love live trees and I bought a spruce  tree for $25.  It has been a while since the purchase.

it all depends on the size of the tree for cost

Actually it depends more on where you live. Why else would I see semi trucks loaded with trees grown a mile from me  headed for Los Angeles or New York City?

We bought our tree from Costco last weekend for forty dollars and it is nine feet tall (even after taking two inches off of the bottom), really thick and absolutely beautiful. It actually took my son and I to bring the tree into the house because it was so thick and full! It took two hours to trim and another three hours to decorate. Our front room actually appears crowded. It smells wonderful! Last year we spent sixty five dollars for a mediocre tree at Krogers because Costco was out. The year before we chopped down our own tree for fifty dollars and it was really small.  The year before we bought a potted tree and replanted it in out back yard for fifty five dollars. I think that we have officially become Costco tree buyers for the rest  of our tree purchases.

It depends on where you buy the tree.  If you buy from a nursery, you will spend more money for the tree.  Food Lion has reasonably priced trees, less the $30 around here.  My daughter got one from Wal-Mart and it was $42 and it is a nice full douglas fir.

Not sure how much a real Christmas tree costs. I have an allergy to pine. So we have a fake tree up.

Mine cost $40 from Walmart, it already has lights on it.  It's 6.5 feet, which is just right for us.  They have smaller ones for cheaper, even table top Christmas trees for like $12 (if memory serves me correctly).

we usually use an artificial tree but this year we went with a real one.  it was a smallish tree, kind of short and fat (my son picked it out).  I think it was like 6 ft tall.  just under maybe.  we paid $35 for it.

Totally depends on if the tree is live or fake.  The size.  Lots of things factor in.  Most of the live ones start at around 20-25.  I had a guy bring a tree to my register yesterday and ask for a discount.  LOL.  Yeah, uh no.  Then he said so this is the final price.  Well, except you have to add tax.  People are so stupid.  It amazes me at how many people who have lived in this country their entire lives bring something to the registers then yell at the cashier because it is more than the sticker price and then say "oh I forgot about tax".  Smh.  Anyway, he took the tree at the price that was on it.  I started to tell him if he wanted a discount to come back on the 26th.  : D
