December 17, National Regifting Day
« on: December 17, 2015, 09:04:15 am »
I tell everyone that gets a gift from me, well, you also can re-gift it too. You never know if you got a re-gifted one yourself lol. It is all in the game of gift giving lol. Have you ever re-gifted? I have done this. What have you re-gifted? Did the  person who gave you a gift know you re-gifted it? have a gr8 day  :present:

Yes, I've definitely regifted. It's better than the gift going to waste.

I don't think I've ever regifted, but I have a lot of stuff that I could use as gifts.

I find it difficult to regift.  I feel it insults the original giver.  I've never hears of National Regifting Day

I love the idea of regifting but I have never been brave enough to do it myself. I really don't like items going to waste and so if they can be used, I say do it! Historically, I have given things I can't use to charities who will then either give the gift away or make a little money on it. I guess if I knew I had given a gift to someone who couldn't use it, I would be happy for them to pass it on. It wouldn't offend me. I guess I would be a bit disappointed in myself that I hadn't found the right gift, but that doesn't make them keeping it and shoving it at the back of their closet any better.

I am surprised that national re-gift day would be before Christmas unless you are regifting you got last year. I have given gifts that I have bought at a flea market or yard sale which is like regifting.

I received a Starbucks card that was regifted as the card read "Admin Day."  Meh, free is free!

I hadn't heard of a National Regifting Day either...  I've gotten gifts that were such a bad "gift idea" for me, I still have them....unopened (in the original box).  I'd feel bad about regifting it (because it was a loved one that gave it).
