I really like the look of house plants. They make rooms seem more airy and tranquil and I feel sure they would be an important part of fung shwei! (Apologies for the spelling!). However what I don't seem able to accomplish is to water them the right amount. I think I tend to over water them which, in the past, has lead to me noticing little grubs in the compost which presumably arrived after the flies left! They look so perfect having bought them from the store and then just after a few weeks, they start to look a little over-loved!

I absolutely adore house plants which I take inside for the winter and put out for the summer. I have had basically the same plants since 1975. They have had thousands of babies from which I have made even more plants. The two that
are especially prolific are my spider plants and a purple plant that has lovely pink flowers in the summer.

Love my houseplants, unfortunately my cat has taken a sudden liking to them.   Had two orchids for several years but they died, I believe it was my fault but I'm going to get some new ones.  Have some lavender growing, large snake plant, really big aloe plant that I take outside in the summer, a purple shamrock and a green one also.  Several others that I'm unsure of the name.

I have house plants, I honestly don't know what kind they are, I received them after my son passed last year, I am trying to keep them alive as long as possible because they do look nice. I just don't have a green thumb!

I love houseplants but I keep my house so dark that it is hard to keep them alive through the winter.  I took my hibiscus tree  that I got from my sister-in-law's funeral to my office since we have huge windows.  It is getting ready to bloom!
Have a wonderful day!

Yes! I got a teeny tiny one from Kroger in October (looks like a baby's tears plant but not sure at all) and have thoroughly enjoyed watching it grow. I've had to transfer it to a bigger pot once already and looks like I may need to do that again soon. I wasn't confident I could keep it alive, haha, but so far, so good.  :clover:

House plants can improve the indoor air quality in your home. Some of them will even give you more oxygen for better indoor breathing.
