NFL Playoffs
« on: January 18, 2016, 03:09:42 pm »
What was your biggest takeaway and talking point from the exciting playoff games this past weekend?

-The coin flip?
-OT Rules?
-The Hail Mary and miraculous throws by GB?
-The almost comeback by Seattle?
-Broncos
   -barely escaping Pittsburgh?
   -All the dropped passes?
   -Manning's performance?
-Manning and Brady rematch?
-3 #1 draft picks still in the postseason?
-12/13 years where Brady, Manning, or Rotthlesberger in the Super Bowl?
-Both 1/2 seeds in AFC and NFC still left in the Playoffs?

My biggest takeaway was now my boys have to go to Denver. *groan* I was pulling for the Steelers! :confused1:

I had two big takeaways from last weekend.  #1 you can never understate the value of having your top players healthy, #2 the Bengals fans (and players) will always be the "little brother" in the AFC North.  Rather than get on with their off season, many felt it necessary to tweet jubilation at the Broncos beating Pittsburgh like that somehow was vindication.

The way the Panthers are playing, looks like they might win it all.

The weather in Carolina should be interesting especially for the Arizona Cardinals who could not fly in yesterday and are trying to get in today. I would have bet anything that Denver would have had the weather issues not Carolina.

My mom is watching the New England and Denver game right now. She has all of her Bronco stuff out and I can hear her from the next room either yelling or cheering. Last I checked Denver was ahead.

My girlfriend's ex is a huge Peyton Manning fan so her boys had gone with him to watch the game at their uncle's house. His brother (said uncle for the boys) is a fan of the Panthers.... I'm thinking that the amount of testosterone expressed at that house this past weekend will pale in comparison to the Superbowl when both teams will be competing against each other!

I think its pretty remarkable that its either been Roethlisburger, Manning, Or Brady in those super bowls, that is wild!
