The snow is here!

Snow completely missed us this time!  I actually enjoy waiting out the horrific snow storms (provided I am indoors and hunkered down with no need to travel anywhere), but I despise the aftermath when it comes time to dig out my car.  We have a one car garage and a short 8 foot driveway.  Wife's car gets the garage and the driveway isn't large enough for my car, so I park on the street.


When the big ones hit, it takes forever to dig my car out and then I run the risk of someone else taking my cleared out spot while I am at work.  So if I don't need to be suit and tie presentable, I am further ahead to walk to work after the big storms!  But that also runs the risk of the snowplow further burying my car in.  The plowed snow becomes much more difficult to dig out, especially if it freezes solid!


So I still dream of having a house with a larger garage and a longer driveway for off street parking.  And if money were no object, I'd look into some heating elements under the driveway for easier snow melt/removal!

We had a lot in NYC, thank God it there was no loss of electricity. Must say I kinda wished it lasted a bit longer, I wasn't ready to return to work.

Wow I would love in some ways to see some snow.  My hubby and I lived in NC for two years many many years ago and being a FL girl it was not easy for me to get used to but I would love to see some snow for some reason but wow blizzards and all those really bad conditions are too much for me.  I hope and pray you guys are gonna stay warm, safe and keep your power going.
