i just recently quit. i did it cold turkey which i found to be the best way.

I think the main thing to quiting is motivation. My husband found out he was a diabetic and had to go to the hospital it was so severe. He had a cigarette on the way to the hospital and was worried when he would be able to get another one. While in the hospital he had to watch a bunch of videos that reinforced the fact of how damaging smoking is when you are a diabetic and he hasn't had a smoke since. That was 3 years ago.

I used to smoke but not anymore. I wasn't a heavy smoker anyway. I was a social smoker. If I felt like smoking a cigarette I chose to have one

You need to detoxify your body which will in turn detoxify the nicotine out of your body. Also chew gum and toothpicks. Do a juice fast.........

I have found that eating peppermint when I want a smoke helps. I have not quit nor do I want to but I have cut down alot just by using peppermint. Good Luck
