my phone bill went up $15 more this month.
some taxes for the state were added on.
Some phone companies monopolize the city you live in.
I was reading that it's possible to use the computer as a phone.
They say it's free.
I have to look into it.

My phone bill didn't go up, but my gas bill doubled.
Apparently the gas consumers in California are having to pay for that gas leak displacement costs that  the gas company had to pay out to Porter Ranch. It is currently being investigated by consumer watchdog groups/government.  One babyboomer on a fixed income, was interviewed by the news, & her gas bill went from $50 to $350... crazy stuff.

It's like all the people in Michigan having their water bills significantly increased to pay for the government incompetence for Flint.

Yes you can use the computer, it's called Voice Over IP. The one I currently use is VoipO and it cost me $150 for two years (on sale) and it works great. I plugged it into the phone system with 4 lines I was already using.

I've heard of computer based phones and even had a free phone line on my ipod.  I just don't know enough about them to feel safe though.

Once you plug it in, you won't know the difference. I just pick up the phone and call anywhere in the US or Canada for free and have some free International calling and cheap rates after that. I can call my nephew in London for 2 cents a minute.

thanks old buddy will look into that.I think i pay 40.00 a month for the phone and when it rings i sometimes want to throw it out the window. My gas bill is pretty low not the electric its pretty high. Hope the gas doesn't go up.

My phone bill stayed the same but my internet and electric bills both went up.  My internet by $10.00 and by electric by $50.00!!!!!!!!
