I have noticed while watching this show that you can always see Cindy's panties.  ALWAYS!  And the older sisters dresses are not much longer.  I am not being smart, but I wasn't around when this show was made.  I am curious as to if girls really wore dresses not much longer than a t-shirt?  Or maybe their was just a smutty undertone to the show.

Honestly I never noticed that.  I'll have to find when the show us on and check it out.

I never noticed that either.
It was the sign of the times of the show, the 70s (right?!), & girls were thinner back then on average as well so they could get away with that "style". 

The show has zero *bleep* factor, rather bland & wholesome.

I was 13 or so and watched it in the seventies the mini skirt was very popular. I  wore mini skirts but sometimes you had to wear shorts under neath because they were pretty short.

Funny you mentioned this, I was watching it yesterday and I was thinking wow those skirts are somewhat short.

I remember seeing that too.  Short shorts and short skirts were 'the thing' back then, apparently.  Other programs from that same era featured similar garb. 

On a personal note, my shorts, dresses and skirts have always been and still are modest.  My tops don't reveal anything I wouldn't want the public to see.  I don't follow the fads.

I have to admit for a many times as I have seen that show I never noticed that.
the mini skirts and short shorts were all the rage then but even if I wanted to I wouldn't have been allowed to wear them. I have never had the figure for that type of clothing.

My sisters grew up during the Brady Bunch era and I've noticed there dresses being panty showing short.  And unlike me, they were petite little gals and could wear those dresses.  I think Mom made them wear bloomers underneath.  She sewed a lot of my brothers and sister clothes so I'm pretty sure she was matchy matchy with accessories.   Thank goodness I was built more like a brick and didn't have to wear those things.

i did wear the mini mini skirts and dresses..it was the style..panties weren't showing though...but i also loved the maxi dresses and elephant ear pants...but i was 5 ft and probably weighed a hundred pounds then..i was 14-15 but built more like a 16-17 yr old...all gone now though...lol...my mother and step father wouldnt let me wear anything revealing anything at all.they let me wear them but they had to approve them first..lol

Short mini skirts were the fashion when I was in high school.  My sister did wear some dresses and skirts that were not much longer than a T-shirt.  Going up stairs or sitting in desks was a problem....not enough fabric!!

I wore short skirts/dresses too, but not THAT short.  I wasn't comfortable with them.

I had forgotten about the elephant ear pants.  I had a pair of hip hugger elephant ear bell bottom pants that I thought were so....ooooo...oooo coool.   They were purple!!

If you ever see it pay attention.  When she sets down or gets up you can always see them.  I just thought it was odd because back then TV was more restricted in what it showed anyway.  Then I wondered if people in general really wore dresses that short.  I know they made her wear her hair in pig tales to make her seem more baby like and she hated it.  And had talked about how it made her head hurt.
