Love to read, mostly mysteries. Just finished one Today actually, called The Fat Man,A Tale Of North Pole Noir. Read about 50-60 books a year. Got 5 read this year so far.

Plus, post all of them on a book review site. Helps keep track on every book you read.

I do enjoy reading though finding time for it isn't as easy as it used to be. My favorite kinds of books are real life crime, anything involving vampires, and some romance.

I love to read.  I read all the time.  I love romance books.  I have found a wonderful used book store where I can buy books at a reduced price and they will also buy back my books I have read and give me credit.

I love to read the scriptures with my family every morning before we go to work and school. It is the best time for the day while it is quiet to read with family. It is so hard to do it after work or school because everyone has their own personal calendar of events daily. Plus dinner. And you are definitely right. reading is knowledge. All my boys learn to read when they were at a young age because my wife and I read scriptures to them everyday. Then they wanted to read on their own by first grade their fluency are really good. That is how my kids learn to read and still love books.

Yes I love to read too. I joined a book club several years ago and I read one book per month for the club and one for just plain enjoyment. Just finished a fiction book called ORPHAN TRAIN which was a fascinating account of the trains that used to run from NYC out west in the 1920's to drop off orphan children with families who would take them in at the train stops. Of course, there was a lot of abuse in this system, with people taking in children just to make them work and not go to school.

Thank you, pmagalei.  That sounds beautiful. I agree.

I read scripture too. every day.

I also gobble up a lot of other non-fiction. I am 73, but always trying to learn more...not randomly, just focusing on my choice of topics at the time.

Keeps the brain quickened, and you can throw in vital facts, fun info, or personal thoughts in a lot of lively conversations...or just bore folks to death. Ha ha!

Have a good weekend, folks.

I like to read, but lately I haven't been finding much time for it. I spend too much time on the computer. I guess I do read a lot on the computer too.

Yes! I love to read! However, I don't always have the time for it. I feel like that guy in the Twilight Zone episode who loves to read, but nobody lets him and then when the world ends he finally gets the time he needs but then breaks his glasses.... :glasses-nerdy:

I go in spurts.  There will be about a year that I won't read anything.  Then I'll find a book I really like and can't put it down.
