Rent movies
« on: March 09, 2016, 05:47:26 pm »
Do you rent movies or do you have cable, net flix, hulu or etc? I do not have cable or anything so I rent movies from the library or video store?

I don't have cable either. I love renting movies. When I had cable I enjoyed watching rented movies more than cable and that helped me make my decision to cut off my cable. I think most people won't have cable in the next 10 years, its not worth the money anymore.

I don't have cable, but I don't rent movies either. I do have a Roku Box with Netflix and an antenna, so that gives me all the TV I need.

I don't have FIOS or cable or anything else, just a regular digital antennae. But there hasn't been a show yet that I wanted to see that I wasn't able to see somehow. Usually I just get what I want to see from the library or sometimes I am just able to go to a website like the PBS website and watch shows from there.

I don't usually rent movies or even go to the movies.  I wait until they are on regular tv and then watch them

I have a digital converter for my very small analog TV and an antenna.  If I want to watch movies I have a larger TV with a DVD player connected.

Then I usually borrow DVDs from the public library or I might rent from Redbox if I'm feeling a little bit wild and crazy.

Have a great day!

I have FIOS and just the movie channels that they offered with the package, I refuse to pay extra $$ for Movie Channels that repeat over and over.  For new movies depending on how bad I want to see them, I will use my points with FIOS and use OnDemand or just wait for the movie to come out on Redbox and rent it for $2 on a Blue Ray $1.50 on DVD.

We just got xfinity 2 weeks ago. We've had netflix for about 2 years now. I really like netflix since I can get just about anything I want. The blockbuster that was close to us closed down.

We rent from RedBox when we get free codes.
I have Time Warner Cable with all the pay channels, it's a package deal with phone & internet & digital recording.
I have Netflix & Hulu as well.   We have 3 cable boxes, 2 rokus which are great - one goes on an analog tv so it can get hulu & Netflix.

In my home office, I have a smart tv & mostly watch Netflix & Hulu.    I would have no problems eliminating cable completely for tv, but my family likes it, so we have it.
