I just heard this news, so sad I lived her in the movies and her tv show.  What a great actress.  She died from sepsis from a ruptured instestine. RIP

I couldn't believe she was 69, I still think of her as a kid or at least a young woman.

I just heard this a bit ago.  Very sad way to go.  I didn't hear any details as to her death, but I'm wondering if she was hospitalized for whatever intestinal problems she was having.  RIP, Patty Duke.

I always enjoyed her shows, She was just so full of it and could make a person laughor cry depending on the part she was playing. So sad.

Sad news.  Loved her in the "Miracle Worker", both versions:  the 1962 original where she played Helen and the 1979 made-for-tv remake where she played Helen's teacher, Annie Sullivan (Melissa Gilbert played Helen in that version).  RIP, Miss Duke.  You'll be missed.

I just learned that Patty Duke passed away yesterday too.

She wasn't very old.  I enjoyed her on The Patty Duke Show.

I love Patty Duke!  She was a real good person.  Her birth name was Anna Marie and she went back to that as an adult in her private life.  I watch "The Patty Duke Show', (1963-1966) at 5 am on "Me TV" a lot, as I have insomnia.
