We rent our house as of now. My husband I are not sure if we want to live where we currently live in the future. We will eventually buy a house one day.

Right now we pay rent.  I've had a mortgage in the past.  My ex- and I built a home that was way to big for our bridges.  We ended up divorce and short selling the house.  I never ever want a mortgage again.  I rather enjoy a modular lifestyle and for me when I'm renting I'm less likely to fill the space with needless things that need to be packed and moved again.

Yes. I have never once missed or been late on a rent or mortgage payment. Housing is a number 1 priority!

I don't pay any rent or mortgage at all. I consider it a blessing. We are living at a house owned by my in-laws. My wife grew up living at this home and she still has lots of fond memories of the place. My in-laws have moved on to a trailer park for senior citizens and let us live here. I thank them every time I have the opportunity to pray for their kindness and love.

Our mortgage payments are steep, but they are only for a shorter mortgage term - 15 years (12 years left to pay). We dabbled a little bit with a smaller monthly payment, but then the duration of the mortgage was 30 years and bearing in mind my husband and I are in our 40's, we realized that just wasn't going to cut it. So we refinanced, reduced our term to 15 years, so now our mortgage should be paid at around the time my husband retires. I feel happier about that.

We pay a mortage. Our house is really too big for us. We would like to move to a condo or townhouse.
the mortage is one thing but in nj taxes are another!

I have never rented, has always bought the places where I have lived.  Right now I have a house that I would like to sell and if I do, I will rent an apartment.

Yes.  A great history.
My mortgage is less than $600 a month.   We put a big chunk down initially.    The city taxes are about $500 a month.    Couldn't even pay rent for what I pay for my home, plus I have quite a bit of equity now as well.     Life is good :)
