Do you go to the beauty shop?

I only have to go to the beauty shop to have my hair cut.  I do dye my hair, but I do that myself at home.  I only have to go a few times a year.

I went many years ago. Nowadays, I don't go. I realize that it's not so critical to go. I can do most of the stuff myself.

I go about every 6 weeks to get my hair cut.  The same girl has been cutting my hair about 5 years.   I do dye my hair, but I do that myself at home.   I can't see paying $80.00 for a dye.

I have not been to the beauty shop in years. I am a single mom and just can not afford it. I can look at you tube and watch hair tutorials for way less. I also have natural hair and I am afraid they may not know how to properly handle my hair.

I go to my local SUperCuts for trims, but I dye my own hair.
I was going to treat myself to a salon trip once for my birthday but it's just so expensive!

When I was a little girl, my mother used to cut my hair. One day she took me to a beauty shop. They cut it so much shorter than my mom did. I didn't like it! I always wanted long hair. As an adult, I have long hair. When it needs a trim, I cut it myself. I don't trust the beauty shops!

I have always gone about every six weeks to get my hair professionally cut.  Every now and then I would splurge and get it colored and/or highlighted.  Many years ago I would get perms occasionally.  Now I have found a neighborhood shop that is very inexpensive but does a decent job.  In fact, the other day I was there for a haircut and color and the owner was having problems with a new employee. She did not charge me when I was ready to go because she said I shouldn't have to be exposed to employee/management problems.

Not anymore.  I don't have the funds anymore.  Plus it's very expensive.

I try to go to the beauty salon when I can (and if I have the funds, obviously). Otherwise, I tend to do my hair in the comfort of my own home. And the fact that my mother is a former cosmetologist tends to help as well, LOL.

The last time I got my hair done was for my wedding. I do it myself now. Saves me lots of money.
