I went to the hairstylist just last week. I always go to the same one even though she costs a small fortune. It is the one thing I splurge on but I only do it once every 8 weeks. I always have the same thing done - hair washed, cut and blow dried. The hairdresser I use is a perfectionist and makes sure every strand of hair is perfectly cut.

I don't do "beauty salons" because first of all they're all too expensive and secondly they never get my hair cut correctly so I am my own "beauty salon" and have been for many, many years.  I must admit, I do a better job than they do too!!!

only about 4 times a year,,,  to keep my hair trimmed up.  It grows really fast so when I feel its to long I go and get it cut off

No, not since I retired, I wear my hair natural but if I need any services like cut or color I just go to the local beauty school. The students are very good and supervised and  you can't beat the prices compared to a professional beauty shop.

I have never gone to a beauty shop, when I need my hair trimmed or a skull treatment I do to the beauty college. It's cheaper.

I love going to the salon. It's definitely worth it to get a professional cut. That being said though, I try to get a manageable cut that doesn't need tons of maintenance in between visits.

I go to the salon and get my hair cut, colored and occasionally my eye brows waxed. It makes me feel good to be pampered!

Maybe to go for a good pedicure.  Otherwise no.  I go to private homes and people who work in salons do my hair or waxing for a lot less.

It has been a year - my hair was below my butt and I asked for it to be cut to my waist but it ended up shorter than that.  I am going tomorrow to a different beauty shop and getting my hair cut in long layers - I hope I don't regret it but it is so thick I am having trouble handling it.  So we shall see.

The last time I went to the beauty shop was like in 2006.  I don't like how the stylists try to pry into my business.  It makes me seem snooty when I have to say "I don't want to discuss my personal life; I'm just here to get my hair done".

I went last month for the first time in years to get a haircut.  I cut about 8 inches off...it's close cropped to my head now.  First time I've ever had it shorter than shoulder length.  Not sure that I really liked. But it'll grow out soon enough I suppose.
