I think they should use the "unisex" or family restroom.

I think they need to add a third bathroom for families, or whomever.   I know my husband never would bring my daughter into the men's bathroom when she was little & he was out with her.   There are no changing tables in men's bathroom's either... why not?    A multi-use "family" private bathroom, which many places already have, is the answer to many issues.

mariej50 has nailed it.  I agree with the comment made by mariej50.  We were given male or female parts for a reason.  I stand by my faith.  By the word of God in the Holy Bible.  God made Man.  And with that he made women.  Not he made a person and decided to let them decide what they wanna be.  Transgender bathrooms.  Give me a break! I'll be enforcing the everyone go to the bathroom before we leave more strictly now.

Use the parts God gave you for the reasons he gave them to you for

I am against laws like this. I am ALSO against laws like in Washington state where people can use the facility that they "self-identify" with. I think both types of laws are too difficult to enforce -- one requires bathroom monitors to use birth certificates to determine while room a person may use while the other requires bathroom monitors to read minds to ensure that a person claiming to self-identify with the opposite sex is a true transgendered individual or a sexual predator. I think the best laws would be to have no laws on this issue; allow businesses to decide for themselves how best to address this issue. When you issue laws that affect everyone, there is no way to compromise or find different solutions to the issue, but rather you force one viewpoint / value system upon the most people thereby taking away the most freedom from the public. I actually think that the unisex facilities meant for one occupant at a time (except for cases of parents aiding their children) are the best way to go. But even saying this, I do not want a law that requires all building to convert all gender-specific rooms to these unisex, individual rooms as this too ignores a business' freedom to operate their own business and again forces all to comply with the law regardless of the challenges that this imposes on businesses.

Don't have anything against them as human beings and their choice of lifestyle but there should be a separate bathroom such as family bathroom for them.  Don't like using public restrooms now and now I really will not use them.

I don't like this assumption that something inappropriate is going to go on because someone who is anatomically the opposite sex is using the same bathroom as women. I think it's close-minded and offensive. I think we will all be surprised at the outcome of transgenders being able to use the bathroom they feel they should be able to use. Everyone gets so riled up about things! They are human; they are not predators just because they were born transgender. That's almost like saying you wouldn't want to use the same bathroom as a homosexual. Difference of opinions...

That's not the assumption. It's not that transgenders are predators, it's that predator's will claim to be transgender. Whether that would be the care or not, I don't know, but the fear of that happening is very real thing to many.

Yes, I can see that MAY be a problem. However, I doubt a predator will really go through those lengths in order to enter a bathroom to molest someone. Predators will walk straight up to you and squeeze your chest or your behind, or will *bleep* a child from his/her front yard. I think we are all jumping the gun on this one and it comes down to people not wanting to be taken out of their comfort zones. It's really not a big deal. In fact, some have already USED the same restroom as a transgender and you just didn't know it! But, as one of the youngest posters on here, I think I just tend to be more liberal and progressive, and no offense is meant in that.

I think they should have their own bathroom, be it a woman turning into a male are a male turning into a female either way  they need their own bathroom. Most women do not want to have to share with a man in any case.  tye should be privte about what God gave them to use the bathroom.   will walk out before i share with one.

I am not bothered in the slightest that Target now has transgender bathrooms, it will neither prevent me from going to Target nor encourage me through the doors! I won't be using the transgender bathrooms, and i wouldn't want my kids using the bathrooms but I have no objection to other people using it. Live and let live I say!

I don't bother me one bit. There are more important things to worry about

There are more important things to worry about; that is true.... everybody seems to need to gripe about something or another!
