muscle pain
« on: May 08, 2016, 07:21:06 am »
I bought a BIOMAT a few years ago. It has amethysts and uses infra red rays for heat.
There are heat settings.
The lowest amount of time for heat is 2 hours and you just turn off the mat when you are done if it's under 2 hours.
Low works just fine. I always use caution with heat settings.
I would turn it on for a few hours sometimes and sit there just for 10 minutes, come back and sit in the heat of the chair so I didn't have tyo warm it up again. [that's the size I bought]
It helps with aches and pains.
It comes with a protective mat and I suppose a person could add another covering to protect from extreme heat and get the benefit of a high heat setting.

Even those heat patches that are sold in stores can burn.

I was a professional massage therapist and I was taught to promote external methods of pain relief; however, I personally use nutrients as an internal approach.  Sure, you can take a bath in Epsom salts or use a heat pad but a mega dose of calcium and some quality sleep seems to have the best results, for me.

Have a great day!
