He seems to have accepted his role on the team. If he likes to play and he can contribute I think he can/should continue to play.

I think he should play one more season, with a few additions this team could make a last stand together and push toward a championship.  Second best record for current season.

If he is still healthy and can contribute play.  A lot of the teams that have younger players need the steady voice/leadership of some o the older players.
