My skin is combination with my cheeks being very sensitive and prone to dryness. I started using Pond's cold cream on my cheeks and around my eyes and it's done wonders. I put that on my face, let it sit for a while, then rinse it off, and use Burt's Bees sensitive face wash. I don't even have to use moisturizer after a while. It's only $5 for the little jar and it goes a long way.

I'm having this dry skin appear around my eyes....anyone have suggestions for creams/ointments that might help? Want to be careful, obviously, since it's a sensitive area...

I'm wondering if the cleanser you're using is drying your skin out. If it has a soapy, foamy quality to it, it could. Products with rose are supposed to be good for sensitive skin, and I'd also recommend trying to aim for natural products. A company called Gabriel has eye cream with ingredients from the sea. I sampled from them a few years ago. :)

Sleeping helps and I also sometimes use an impish eye serum from Perfectly posh that has caffeine and natural ingredients to make your eyes awaken.

I'm not a dermatologist or medical professional by any means, but I wondered if you have changed your beauty regime or cleansing strategies at all over the last few weeks. I wonder if your dry patches could be eczema. My son gets eczema in all the sweaty areas of his skin namely behind his knees, elbows, behind his ears, ankles etc, but I have also known some people who get eczema underneath their eyes.

I have heard coconut oil can be good to use too but be careful bc it's oily and can make you break out if you have super sensitive skin.

I am not sure, I suffer from Rosecea and I only use for my face a prescription called Elydel which had controlled for me, and the doctors told me that is the safest around the eyes.
