there are times when it's worth it to spend a little extra money.
filtering water is important.
the popular way of doing things isn't always the best.
the greatest changes and advancements came from people going the opposite way.

I agree, except for filtering water. I don't worry about that in Oregon where I live.

I have a water filter pitcher and recently found generic replacement filters at Walmart which are much cheaper than the Mfg replacements and work just as well.

Yes we have a brita pitcher and use that, though i am sure there are cheaper things to use.
