I wish them the best of luck! I don't have any information to provide about adopting but will say a special prayer for them.  :angel11:

Great for them, that young they will fit in really quickly.  Even older once they are around for a while you get attached very quickly.  I hope everything works out well and quickly for the new family!

I don't know why it would be a bad idea - unless they're abusive or have addiction issues. :-\

Adopting is really heart-breaking. Once the kids find out that the parents are not their parents is really heart-breaking for the kids.

No, and because I don't want any kids, I don't think about adopting.

I think that adoption is really good as long as people are not being paid to give up babies. We have one set of friends, in their late thirty's at the time, that paid close to forty thousand dollars to adopt a child which I felt was buying a baby. We ran into the parents of another set of friends who's parents had just finished adopting their fourth child and the total cost for all four was around ten thousand dollars which seemed suitable for the paperwork and health checks involved. The parents in the family of four adoptees were in their mid sixties. That, to me, is more of an issue from the standpoint of being around for the child's entire pre-adult life. Adopting children that are of a different nationality immediately identifies them as an adoptee which can be one more hurdle for children to get over as they are growing up.
