Hi Mcnich.157/100 a bit on high side.Good idea letting Dr maybe change meds. How is your diet?I ate bacon a few days ago and i swear it raised mine.

Also look into some natural stuff like fish oil and there are other products out there that might help.I use a health Co here in NY named Purity products.Their stuff is a bit pricy but they have AAA with BBB.They have a web-site too.

Stress isnt good either.A spiritual relationship with TRUE God never can steer you wrong either.

Good fortune to you!!

That is high you should contact your doctor asap and let him know how the medication affected you. I do take meds for my high blood pressure but I recently lost 15 pounds and that brought it down a good bit. It is affected by what I  eat. Red meat, shrimp, and salt will send it way up.

It takes about 3 weeks to show a difference in b/p meds.  If he jus changed them you need to let your body adjust to the new meds.  If your seeing a huge difference then you  need to contact them about your conerns

Consult your doctor. But you have to do your part also. Some things to consider: Your diet may be the culprit: Eliminate salty foods, too much coffee and reconsider your diet all together. Avoid stress. Exercise in moderation. Do not forget: Meds can do only part of your treatment...the rest is up to you.

Normally my blood pressure is pretty good. I was surprised one day the doctor told me it was high. Too much stress that week. I'm careful now about releasing stress.

That is really high for BP. Blueberries, I was told blueberries work for helping reduce BP. They are good for diabetes and other medical problems. only have to eat a handful every day.

I have not heard of anything else working.

157/100 it is quite high indeed. You would definitely want to get that under control. I have struggled with high BP since my early 20s and now I am on meds that get it too low, and I stay dizzy. It is a total nuisance. Bad genes for sure in this case!

When I was in the hospital six months ago I consistently had high blood pressure, but I was in the hospital for internal bleeding. The nurses and doctors kept asking if I always had high blood pressure and I had to tell them I didn't know, because it's never been checked regularly! It was 100/something... Definitely important to keep a doctor up to speed. I'm a big believer in the power of herbal tea (and in general, the power of healthy food and drink), and saw some recently online that is meant to bring down blood pressure... Had thought briefly about getting it for me dad. Wishing you good health!  :rose:
