spending the day by the pool

it is so nice out and we are cooking out and spending it in the pool the water is like bath water nice and warm the kids are having fun and so are the adults

Sounds wonderful! Resting relaxing and taking joy in the happiness of others! I am hoping to break away at some point today to join my family at the health club pool party. My daughter is actually working for an hour or two at the party but will be able to join us after. The club parties are so good for the family with all kinds of contests, good food and drinks. I am not sure I will be headed back to work after the party. I also need to drive my daughter back up to college as she picked up a summer job with the school. I am so proud of my kids. They have worked hard to get to where they are and continue to work hard. It is easier to overlook them coming home late and to forget about all of the hours that I put in to support their endeavors.

Oh that is awesome. Our pool isnt ready yet and it is a small above ground. The mosquitos are bad right now too so it is making me paranoid (about zika)... i live in the gulf.

I wish I had the time to head to the beach or do something fun, but i have too many obligations and things to do.

Sounds like you had a good Memorial Day weekend!  I would love, love, LOVE to have an in-ground pool in the backyard, but there's not enough space and I don't think the neighborhood association would take too kindly to it. I've seen a neighbor with a jacuzzi, though! Jealous! Hoping to get to the river and beach this summer.  Hope everyone had a fun weekend.

I sure wish we had a pool! I could have spent my day in the pool, instead of weedwacking and getting all sore, just in time to go back to work today. I suppose it was worth getting all the fresh air all weekend, and I certainly enjoyed the three-day weekend, especially sitting outside in the evenings when it cooled down. But now my back and arms ache, because I'm not used to doing stuff like weed-wacking.
