Accessing the site from a different location?
« on: June 03, 2016, 03:43:59 pm »
I just read a forum post where someone was saying they can't go on fusioncash since they will be away from home and I was wondering - is it a problem if I am not at my usual location/IP address when using the site? For the past week I've been away and accessing the site and now am worried about it. I still have had surveys credit as usual so I didn't really think about it until a repeatable offer didn't seem to work here.

from the terms of service
Users must log in and use FusionCash on their own personal computer and internet connection only. The use of a FusionCash account on a public or shared computer, or public internet connection is grounds for disqualification. You may not access your FusionCash account on the same computer or internet connection as your referrer, referral, or any other FusionCash user. Violation of this term may be considered grounds for disqualification of any and all users involved.

Although "public or shared computer or public internet connection" - does that just mean I can't use some connection from a McDonald's or something or is that restrictive om using the internet connection at a friend's house too?  (like a home connection, not public, and not a referral or anything)

I suggest you put in a customer service ticket and get clarification. The last thing you'll want to do is amass a lot of money in your account only to get terminated from FC for violating their terms of service. That would hurt :sad1:

We advise that you just use FC from home.  With that said, you can use a friends' private connection like you described, however, that friend (and anyone else living there) will not be able to use FC as long as they live there.  So you (and them) should be quite sure about that before you login.

I didn't know about this quirky feature of FC (that you are supposed to use only your own computer from home to do FC stuff) and used my daughter's computer last week while I was out of town. I got kicked out of Your-Surveys for doing that.

How does this apply to mobile devices? Do you need to connect to your own wifi?

I have no problems.
Sometimes, I am downstairs in the lobby of my apartment building.
I use the computer down there.
I am able to log in just fine.

Sorry to be persistent. But can someone please point me in the direction of wher I can find out if I'm allowed to do surveys while connected to my mobile network? I am on the road a lot and want to make sure I'm allowed to use my mobile to do these while out. I don't generally connect to wifi just use my phone and it's connection to Sprint.

With mobile apps as prominent as they are today, maybe some day FC will reconsider this rule.

You're supposed to log into FC using your personal computer and internet connection. If you go to an offer like AppFly, or a survey that requires your mobile phone, you can use it then.

I always plan ahead when I know I am going to be out of town, and get some extra cents accumulated ahead of time, since I can't complete offers while I'm gone.  Look at it this way.  You get a vacation from your Internet work, and go back renewed and eager to get back to work!
