Looking for Wedding Planning Advice?
« on: August 29, 2009, 08:44:58 am »
I have a passion for weddings! I want every bride to have the perfect wedding she has been dreaming of. I make sure every detail is taken care of, so you don't have too!  As a Wedding Coordinator, its my job to lead my Brides in the right direction. Whether it's simple and classic or upscale and elaborate, its my job to find the vendors they need in order to make their wedding a dream come true.  Check back often for details on how to beautify your reception with lighting!

Lighting is one way to take a drab and boring reception room to beautiful and swanky!  Most of my brides chose up lighting around the room and flanking the dance floor...beautiful!  The cost is minimal if you are wanting to create the most beautiful night of your life that you will remember always.

Favors

Cookie Favors are ALL the rage right now. Anything from simple to very ornate! And I love the idea of having several cookies jars set on a table, an assortment of cookies, cutsie bags, and then let your guests pick their own cookies to take home with them as a favor. Stay tuned....I am working with a gal who is getting into the cookie business, she could be a great asset to my brides!

Creating your wedding with YOUR style, weddings do not have to be traditional in any sense, don't be afraid to step out of the box and be YOU! Your wedding is a reflection of who you are as a couple, so have fun with it!

I have had several brides use Candy Bars that open later in the evening to satisfy that sweet tooth! I wish I could post a picture to show you just how cute they turn out.  I used several different size vases and glass jars along with different sized boxes draped in fabric to give the jars heighth and dimension!!  So cute!!  There was a sign out that said "Candy Bar Closed until later in the evening"....needless to say the adults could not follow the rules!  Every person that stopped just ooed and ahhed over the uniqueness!!

Good luck to you on your daughters upcoming wedding!  I love this job and love seeing all the new and exciting ways to vamp up a reception!  I got married 13 years ago and they didn't do things like this back then...probably good because I have brides spending between 10,000 - 50,000 just on weddings...my parents would of flipped!  Again, good luck to you and your daughter...I hope her day is beautiful!

I have alot of brides that flip out over this or that.....I have to remind them that at the end of the day no one is going to care if the linens aren't perfect...it is about the love and marriage that are important...not the wedding.

Try not to get to focus on everything being perfect, things to do wrong.

Enjoy the day.

I was married in the Fall in upstate New York, so I had caramel dipped apples as our favor. People loved them!
