Neilsen Offer / Contest on main page says NOT to install software - no credit

You have marked this  "join panel, do not install software"...
I have done this and even downloaded the software but have not installed it.
offer is not marked as completed.
No confirmation email was sent to me from Neilsen to confirm panel registration.
It appears that one MUST install the software to be on the panel.
Please advise.
