Ooooo I'm not the only one!! So far I have 2 necklaces finished and one more to make. Then, I have to figure out how to make a button necklace for her!! If anyone has ideas on doing that, please feel free to share!! I got a tin full of buttons from my great aunt's estate, plus I have all of one of my grandma's and a small collection of my own!! LOL!
Last year, I actually had to rush to finish all my mom's gifts, which I didn't get all done, and my dad had 2 bad falls. I didn't even get around to making my mom's body pillow she wanted! So now, I want to be sure I at least get what I want made for her. Though, at the moment, monsoons have me side tracked! Plus, I also like to bake goodies and make candies. It's easier to do that part closer to Thanksgiving and beyond. Anyone know where to look for a good gluten free flour substitute for all-purpose flour?
No I don't use this as an excuse to shop. I hate shopping!! We also have to plan out the majority of our budget since it is very limited. I was mainly only able to get stuff for my mom and dad, one uncle and grandma and one aunt and her family, and my uncle didn't really seem to care for the gift I got him and my granma (it was a combo gift). So now I have an idea for him, he was looking for candle making stuff and I finally found some, so I plan on getting him a little set.
I also have 2 baby pillows to make and send to my cousins. Family tradition of my mom hand embroidering each with their name and some sort of decoration, like a heart. So those probably will end up being Christmas gifts since we haven't started on them yet either.
Just easier for me to do a little here and there. Starting now, I might actually be able to be done by Thanksgiving! That is, if our monsoons will let me! Bailing buckets sucks!! Sewing the body pillow, I think, is going to take the longest to do. I really want to get all the hand made stuff done first, then add the rest in!!
