I think the people of the nation are taking their country back, they are losing their nationality, the people have ousted the autocratic system where they had no voice.
The markets went down, but it will go back up.  It will be good for them as a country in the long run, bad for the eu.    I would bet France will be next.

I am curious about this as well. I haven't heard a lot about it but I work with a gentlemen that was born and raised in the UK and brought this up at work today. I will definitely have to research more.

In my opinion it's the best thing the UK could have done for themselves.  The EU is nothing more than a "one world government" - taking jobs away from the citizens of that country, forcing unwanted immigration on the UK, and ruling them with laws that apply to ALL of the EU.  The UK will soon be FREE again and can control their country the way THEY see fit.  I believe the Brexit vote is the beginning of the end for the EU.  Other countries will follow the lead of the UK.  The markets have fallen because the elite who control the EU are worried snotless about all that money leaving their pockets.  They're losing their control, which is bad for them, and good for the UK.  Things will slow down for a bit, but they will pick up again and the UK can once again be the great country it used to be.

I agree. It's definitely a good thing long-term for the UK and all of Europe. The stocks taking a nose-dive is the usual response to monumental happenings in the world. I'm sure they'll settle in a few weeks.

Great Britain citizens are angry and tired of the EU headquarters in Belgium micro-managing their personal lives, in so many small and great ways.

I think we can understand it better if we read their own newspapers online. A lot of it is not being reported here, I believe.

Brexit is a referendum (general vote) on whether to stay or leave the European Union (EU). Br (Britain) exit.. People choose to exit EU because they do not want their country's polices be made by other EU leaders...  They felt that their sovereignty as a country are threaten by these policies made by EU.. One example will be the syrian refugee crisis. The EU have offered asylum to the syrian refugees... Countries in the EU have to pay for the syrian refugees for humanitarian and resettlement efforts.. With the brexit having UK to leave the EU, they could deny asylum to the refugees

In regards to the market... Most business/companies have trade contracts from the EU.. With the brexit vote, businesses have to renegotiation their trade with UK. If it has become to bothersome for the company, they might cancel their businesses with the UK.
