Lady Basketball coach.  She has more wins than any other coach, male or female in history.  She led the Tennessee Volunteers to 8 National Titles.  She was only 64, it was from  early onset  alzheimers.

It is so shocking to hear of her death. Although I'm not really a women's basketball fan (actually neither am I a fan of men's basketball), I do remember watching one of the NCAA finals in which she led her team to victory once again. My sister was playing basketball in high school and our town had some very good women's basketball players around that time (2 actually went on to play in the WNBA), and so there were several graduates from local high schools that were now playing in those finals. I was amazed by the passion that Pat had for the game; tough on her players yet still respectable in how she handled that passion (unlike some of the antics of Bobby Knight). Her presence on the court will be sorely missed.

So very sad to hear of her passing.  May she rest in peace.  I am praying for her family.
