Exiting Surveys
« on: July 01, 2016, 09:57:02 am »
Have you ever gotten well into a survey and discovered that it is probably more of a bother than it is worth and simply exited?  I have done so several times over the past months, mostly during the ones that have you look around a store using all kinds of maneuvers that don't seem to work for me.  I exited once again today because the survey was longer and more involved than I was willing to commit to.  What about you?

I have done that many times. I don't do surveys that take too long for low pay. The surveys asking about 10+ brands on every question are the worst.

Yes, I have experienced that specifically when some surveys are just to long and not worth my time or the earnings they offer or just to get to the end and find out you don't qualify. That's a real bummer!

Yes, I think we all have. As hard as I try to screen them ahead off of time.

Yes I have to admit I dropped a few, usually the long ones that just seem like they are never going to end and are only paying a few cents.

Yes, I have and not just on Fusion Cash. I have not done this a lot but I have done it. It is not that some are too long: it is also that some are too wordy, complex, confusing and complicated.

Even worse is when I wished I had exited but didn't. I have been on some surveys that have gone on and on and on only to get disqualified or never receive credit.

Surveys should be fun.

Yes, I am sure we probably all have and then I sometimes get to the end and it does not credit or I get a message about the quota having already been met! I guess it's all a part of the system, fortunately it has not happened often.

The worst ones are the ones you do the time and answer everything and then finish with no credit.

Oh yes, I have definitely done that. Some surveys are just not worth it for the time you put into them. Some surveys don't even make any sense.

Yes, I have done that also.  Sometimes it is just not worth doing the ones that never end.  I jumped thru hoops the other day for a survey and it took forever.  At the end I only got 35 cents.  Wish I would have quit that one.

I'm glad to know what I already suspected.  There are others, besides me, who just get fed up and say, "You're asking an arm and a leg but you're only willing to pay 35 cents (for example).  To heck with it!   And if it isn't going to function properly, forget it!  I have had it with surveys that are long and involved and don't want to pay at least $1.00

I think you are in good company Janice.  Although I can not honestly remember when I last did it, I, too, have quit certain surveys for one reason or another.   ::)

The most recent time I have stopped had nothing to do with wanting to quit but the survey link broke so I had to exit.   :silly:

There were, however, times where I just said 'forget it' and went on to other more profitable tasks.

I very VERY rarely even attempt a survey unless it pays at least $1 -- except for the TV Advertising .75 one which is fun and credits consistently.  I have never had any luck with the ones that have a virtual store and you are supposed to pick items off a shelf..... I am not that computer savvy, I guess!

I have done some surveys when after answering questions for about 15 minutes, I see the status bar is at 10%, and I just quit.

It seems as if we ALL have done this.  For me, the worst are the ones where they ask you about 12 or 15 different similar brands or restaurants or banks/credit cards/insurance companies and ask you to click or leave blank the checkboxes of about 20 or 30 different characteristics for each one.  I KNOW that it is going to take 15-20 minutes just to complete that one page of data and I KNOW that I would not be very likely to give my full individualized attention to each brand and each characteristic in question -- leading me to speed through without giving proper thought (and bad survey results).  So when I see these, I just close the survey window and look for something more reasonable for the pay.
