do you own a gun
« on: July 19, 2016, 08:09:15 pm »
i do not but when i was younger i did but i am glad not to own it now because there are a lot of people that give you so much *bleep* i would probably shoot at least half of them and i don't like to say that but i think you have the right to protect what is yours and people today are just being dumb and shooting people or hit and runs it is a everyday thing now a days and a lot of it is they do not think about how they acting and what they are teaching younger people

No we don't. Husband wants one but I don't know how I would feel with a gun in the house. I have mixed feelings on the issue.

Yes, I/we own quite a few guns ~ handguns, shotguns, rifles, small cannons.  I carry a small revolver in my purse with me wherever I go.  I have had my concealed weapons license for about 8 years now.  I have never had to use but am not afraid to if the occasion may arise!
Have a wonderful day!

Way to go! I have a few guns, but there are a lot more I'd like to get, if they were legal in this state. I hope I can move to a gun friendly state soon.

I do not own a gun, but my hubby does, would he use one to protect me,you can bet on it. Or any of my family. I grew up around guns and can i shoot one yes, can i hit what i am aiming for you, Would i use it to protect myself yes. . A month a go my brother was out of town and my sister-in-law woke up and heard someone in the house and grabbed my brothers shot gun, the person left in a hurry. My niece happened to pull in and saw him. She ran for the house for the gun, but by then the man had disappeared . She had an 8 year old girl in the house. Living out in the rural part of the country it is best to have a gun.

I don't own any real guns, but I have 2 BB guns that I use to practice shoot. One of these days, I will apply for a permit, and purchase a real gun for protective reasons. About 7 years ago, I worked at a pharmacy, and I was held up at gunpoint by a robber. It was scary, and I promised myself that I would never be a victim ever again. I don't ever want any innocent person to fear for their life the way I feared for mine that night. It's not right, and I think we need to start defending ourselves against criminals so that they know we won't succumb to their terroristic ways.

Absolutely not! At least not real ones. I have a Super Soaker and a fake pistol...and I am perfectly fine with that, LOL.

In all seriousness, I would be horrified if I was in the same facility (especially a home) as any type of firearm. I do not believe in private ownership of guns, either. But that's an entirely different story.

I have thought about getting a gun. I have shot one before and its scary to know how easy it is to kill someone. I think to many people have guns and are quick to fire them as soon as they get in a little altercation without thinking of the consequences. Its like killing someone is not a big deal anymore
