I've been a star trek fan since I was in pre school and haven't given these reboot movies a chance, it doesn't look like star trek from the ads I've seen! To me, no one can fill the shoes of Shatner and Nimoy. I hope you enjoy the movie, I'm not sure if it would be my cup of tea though. I'm not really against new star trek stuff as long as it's done right and hits the same nerve in me and other fans that it used to.

Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing it as well. But my real anticipation is the new Jason Bourne movie.

I'm not a huge fan of the newer movies, but this movie looks really good. I'm probably going to see it next weekend, though. Can't wait!

Just saw this one. It's really, really good! I liked the villain a lot. And it does hearken back to the original show a bit. No spoilers, but I did call the "twist" fairly early on. But, yeah, big,big thumbs up!

It's funny but this is the one Star Trek movie I don't know too much about. It will be nice to be surprised.

If I were to go to the theater it'd probably be to see this one. I have the other 2 movies on DVD. I also really like Simon Pegg and Zachary Quinto.

I saw the new Star Trek movie and loved it, but I AM a big Star Trek fan.  Was disappointed at first in the first new Star Trek movie because it started a parallel story line but am into all the new characters now.  Spock was my favorite and it really was the end of an era when he died.  I enjoyed how the writers had incorporated his character into the new story line.

Yeah, they really paid nice tribute to Leonard Nimoy and the original cast in this film. And Anton Yelchen did a great job in his final role as Mr Chekov.
