Grocery shopping
« on: July 22, 2016, 08:56:31 am »
Have you been grocery shopping for the month? I went a few weeks ago and bought some meats, veggies, fruit and snacks. I always buy what's on sale, if possible, and use coupons.

I never plan ahead to buy for a month but look for the weekly sales to get good deals and coupon also.

I go every week.  I check out the sale items and go to either Giant, Redners or Weis, whoever has the best sales.

Like the previous shopper shared, I usually look for weekly sales and good deals.

I'm a weekly shopper, looking through sale papers.  Love BOGO offers but only do those if it's a product I need and use.   I go to a variety of stores.   Love summer time farmer's market.

I have found that for fruit you almost need to go every couple days if you want fresh... the fruit rots so fast, even bananas.

I usually go grocery shopping on Thursday or Saturday. I haven't gone this week yet since I will be going on vacation soon and don't want things to go to waste. I also look for coupons before I go. I also make sure to look at the store deals in the newspaper by the front door. Sometimes those have some great coupons.

I generally go every week .. I check all the sale ads, write my list, go thru the coupons from the paper and then check online for more coupons.  I try to stretch my dollar as far as I can

A few years ago we lived 25 minutes away from a real grocery store.  We had one vehicle that only held 3 of our family of 5.  We were scrimping and saving every which way we could.  One way was making trips into town for nothing more than dr's appointments and grocery store trips. I would stock up for 2 weeks at a time.  The first week of meals included fresh meats, fruits and vegetables.  The 2nd week was all frozen and canned meals.  I always shopped the sales ad's for the first weeks meals...then most of the frozen and canned meals came from Aldi.

No cooking! Go to the local Hospital for my meals. I only buy replacement meals at the  local supermarket.

I normally go grocery shopping every couple of weeks.  It is determined by the foods I plan to cook.
I enjoy cooking so whenever I want to try a new dish and don't have the necessary ingredients.   :) :) :) :)

I generally go every week or so.  I will stock up on sale items when I run across them.  I'm stockpiling Bounty paper towels and Charmin toilet paper this week while they are on sale.  I went over 9 months without having to buy either one until my stockpile dwindled.
Have a wonderful day!
