I get a lot of Progressive ads in the Captcha, but since I am not a fast typist I figured out they always contain the work Progressive, so while I wait for the magic word to appear I type Progressive, then edit it when I know what they want. Hey save a few seconds twice a day for a month and it adds up, just like the pennies here do.

I do the same thing. Why not save a few seconds.

I do that too. I try to guess what the exact captcha is going to be.  Sometimes I'm right. Sometimes I'm wrong.

I do the same thing as well. Sometimes I get it correct; sometimes I have to edit the phrase/word slightly. Awesome tip, oldbuddy!

Yep, I do the same myself.  It's a fun little guessing game I like to play to see which combination of Progressive pops up. 

Sometimes I'm able to tell by just listening to the first couple of seconds of the ad.

I was scrolling through the responses to oldbuddy's tip to make sure nobody else said this before I added it as my reply! LOL.  So this is great minds thinking alike on multiple levels!


For a good while, it seemed like the Progressive ads/captchas had been in hibernation, so I didn't have the chance to use that shortcut!

It's interesting to learn that so many of us are doing the same thing.  I always try to guess which phrase it will be.  I usually start with Progressive.com, then I can delete the .com if I need to go to the beginning and add "Switch to."  Progressive Insurance is definitely more on my radar these days, and I actually feel a crazy, special bond when I see one of these ads pop up on TV.

How funny. I too do that same thing. It seems that many others do as well. Makes sense to do that because it usually is just the word you needed to type.
