I was sitting in an office at Hill Air Force Base; where, I was working at the time.  I remember the security level changed that day so I could leave or enter the building without showing my photo ID.  Even people who knew me personally needed to see my ID.

It was like watching a movie for me because it was on TV.  I couldn't "wrap my head around" the reality of it.  I remember thinking how sad it was....

September 11th is also my youngest son's birthday so I never liked the "dark cloud" on his special day.
Have a great day!

I had just come into the house from hoeing weeds, got a cup of coffee and thought i would turn on the news, and it was all going   right then, I could not believe my eyes and started praying that everyone would be alright and then the second plane hit. Our country changed right then. I feel so sad for all of those who passed and their familys.

I just hope they're not going to commemorate it with us again, a la Benghazi, since our government is still being rather complacent about the whole thing.  A special on PBS just the other night informed that we were warned before the 9/11 attack.

God bless the rescue workers who helped the people during the tragedy. :star: A lot of the ones who survived are still having health problems.

I was at home when the world trade center came down. I remember I was watching a TV show when the Breaking news came on of the first Tower being hit.

I was 15 years old, sitting in my high school biology class. The principal came on over the loudspeaker, and made an announcement. The next thing I know, some kids were being picked up by their parents and some teachers had TVs on, and it was just so scary. My sister came and picked me up, and I spent the rest of the day with my family, just stunned. I lived in NJ, only about 45 minutes from where the attack was happening, so it was very nerve-wracking, especially since my dad was a cop at the time and I was worried his department was going to be called in for emergency backup. May the innocent souls lost on this day forever rest in peace, and may those who performed the attack burn in Hell.

I was driving my kids to school on my way to work.  Needless to say when I got to the office all the TV's in the conference rooms were on and everyone was glued to them.  Hard to get anything done that day.
