Yes I retired at 62 and now I am 78 and enjoyed every moment. I was not rich or blessed with a big 401K, but I did learn to supplement my retirement income with the Internet. It's not savings, but cash flow that counts.

I retired at 66 for 2 years and then was talked back into working again by being offered a great deal. Worked another year but then retired for good.

My key was being debt free and staying that way.

I retired at 57 and took up volunteer work. My husband continued to work so I could afford to do this.  He retired this year and our financial situation is different but its okay.

I retired at 63 to help my newly divorced son raise his four daughters.

it puts a real squash on my money, but I don't regret it.  However, it would not have happened if not for the family situation.

I am 73 now, and this is one of the sites I try to bring in some extra income.

I so wish I could, but I took 10 years off to raise my children, so this won't be me!

I retired at age 60 and I'm enjoying every minute of my retirement by doing all those things I was unable to do while working.  One of the things that bring me pleasure is working on Fusion Cash.  Also being able to travel as much as possible.   :) :) :) :)

I retired when I was 54 because I had over 30 years of service in my job.  I was lucky because I worked for local government and they have good benefits for its employees.

I had to retire at 62 and am still missing going to work, but due to an illness and a major  car wreck, back has given out on me. I have had several  chances of going to back to work but with the economy the way it is the younger generations need it more then i do. They can barely support their families now without an old person taking a job away from them. So i do Fusioncash and enjoy it, but also do volunteer work for the needy. At least it makes feel useful.

Can you retire without a pension? it seems like I will never have enough money to retire.

I hope to somehow. I'm in the military and if I can do 18 more years I can retire at the age of 40 but I hate being treated like a monkey lol. I am still paying off student loans so saving for retirement seems to be on the back burner.  :notworthy:

I retired from my job in 2003.  I could not live on SS so I went to walmart and they hired me for a people greeter.  I have been doing this for over 12 year now.  I had to have a new car 3 years ago and I paid it off last year so I could save up enough money to stay home.  I just about got enough now but am going to quit work next year sometime.  I am now 75 years old and I am so tired/  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

I don't consider 60s as retiring at a young age.  Retiring at a young age to me would be 40's-50's. Man I would love that.
