long or short hair

i have had long hair my entire life accept for once when i was 5 years old my husband loves my long hair i do to it is my pride that keeps it long but everyone is telling me to get it cut short but i do not think i will cut it short

I am 63 years old and I have hair to my waist.  It has been long my whole life except once I cut it short when it was no longer feasible to keep coloring it.  I recently cut it to my waist lol it was almost to the back of my knees.  I have no plans to cut it as it is part of who I am.

I prefer to keep my hair short. It's about 2 inches beneath my shoulder, which is perfect for me. What I like best about my short hair is how much more manageable it is than when I had long hair. It dries much quicker after showering, it tangles less, and it's just so much easier to style. but hey, if you can rock the long hair, more power to you!

aggie49, I have long hair as well. My husband and my teenage daughter do not want me to cut it. I personally do not think I look good with shorter hair. Who ever can rock a shorter hair do, more power to you!  I do have extended family members however that  have made comments about me cutting my hair. I could care less what they think! They are probably jealous?  aggie49, if you like your long hair and your hubby loves it, keep it long!

I use to have long hair years ago but well that is a sad story. I miss my hair very much. I guess I will have to wait till the next life to get it back.

I have worn my hair long for many years now (mid-back to waist length).  I think about cutting it short, but that is as far as it goes.  If I want it short, I'll pull it up.

I haven't had long hair in years.  I have it short (not real short).  I find it looks better on me at my age, and us easier to dry and style.

I have had both short hair and long hair.  My ex-boyfriend liked long hair so I grew mine out.  I have had people tell me I need to cut my hair because it makes me look older, but I love my hair because I can do so much with styling.

I keep mine about medium length/somewhere around my shoulders. My hair is dark and very thick, so long hair during the summer is a hot and sweaty nightmare. It dries out a lot during winter in spite of my best efforts, so long hair then only results in breakage and tangles.

I only had short hair once, a pixie cut when I was 6 as a "lesson" for crying and screaming when my parents would brush tangles out (long, thick hair + tangles = OWWW), and it was so not flattering at all. So I've never cut it that short ever again. Shortest I'll go now is a chin-length bob, and even for me that's pushing it.
