Do you still write handwritten thank you cards, or notes?
« on: September 27, 2016, 06:17:02 am »
Do you still write handwritten thank you cards or notes? I love getting them, but I should be better at doing that. I think it is also nice to teach your kids to do this too. I try, but with six it is sometimes hard to remember it all.

Yes, I do. I think so also, that we need to teach our kids.

If I had a party whereby people bought me birthday presents, I would thank each of them personally by way of a hand written note. I realise it's not the same, but in the last few years I have taken to including a letter in my Christmas cards. I share what my kids have been doing in the last year, stories about funny little situations I have found myself in throughout the year and I laugh at myself. I love to receive letters from friends and family myself, particularly photographs, so I include photos in my Christmas Chronicles! I appreciate not every is interested or will want to read my letter, but I have fun bundling a few little Christmas goodies for those closest to me.

No, not anymore. I buy them with the proper message. I do not like signing them either. I am going to get a signature stamp.

I have done it for job interviews.  When I give my mother cards I write a note in it.

Why do that? Just send them without a signature so the recipient can use them over again!

I still occasionally write handwritten cards and letters. In fact, I just sent a thank you letter to Robert Conrad, because recently he was at an event in Maryland and generously devoted his time to his fans.
