Congratulations! That is amazing. I'm hoping to lose that amount of weight too, but I need to get in the right mindset and not be so lazy lol.

Good for you! It is one of the hardest things to change a lifestyle. I too am trying to be more conscious of what I eat, how much exercise I get etc. My goal is to get to a place where things become habit rather than what they are now, which is a forced decision to make better choices. In short, I am manually making better choices until they become second nature. Sometimes I am surprised by how much I am enjoying my new lifestyle. Yesterday I found the most wonderful salad at Wendy's - Apple Pecan grilled chicken salad with blue cheese crumbles and a pomegranite viniagarette. It was scrumptious!

Wow! Great Job!!!

I too started eating healthy at about age 50. It was a great decision and I still eat what I want but just watch the amount.

Wow! I super admire you! 40 pounds! I'd give just about anything to be able to stick to a diet long enough to lose that much weight. Keep it up!

I completely understand the lifestyle change being hard. I found out three weeks ago I have Celiac Disease and must now eliminate Gluten from my diet. I am 50 years old and believe me, this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do! And thanks for the tip on the Wendy's salad. I believe I could have it without the Blue cheese and sadly, I love Blue cheese and gorgonzola.  :(

Thank you all so much! I just hit 50 lbs in 11 weeks! Portion control, no starches, no bread & no sugar with daily exercise did the trick! :)  I'm on youtube, check me out @kimber62372 :)

My husband is on Atkins yeah no carbs.he has lost 11lbs in about 3 weeks. He has arthritis so doesn't exercise and put on weight. It works for him. Congrats to you its hard to lose weight. My daughter lost about 50 lbs over a year or so eating healthier.
