election ballot

I got my election ballot for November's election in the mail today.
my neighbors did too.
I know from past elections that the early votes get lost. I am not sending my vote in until a few days before the election day.
I see no point in our election process.....all this gossip, backbiting, media hype, debate, cutthroat bashing.
Aren't we adults??
it makes no sense to drag any political candidate through a whole year of campaigning "circus" every time we elect someone to lead our country.
the people in our country want to know the good qualities of the candidates.
I don't care how much they are able to cut someone down, how much they can offend someone else or how much they can manipulate other people.
Have we lost sight of the qualities of a leader? There were so many candidates in the beginning....too many. Has it become a contest to see how many can be scared away and intimidated?
we have had good presidents who have steered us in the right direction.  we have had lousy presidents with poor leadership.

I agree too much drama

why can't each candidate give us their plan for the country and stop the name calling etc about the other candidate.
Most people in this country are very intelligent and given the facts about each candidate can right then right decision for themselves and their families. However I know this will never happen.
