My family loves it when I make fudge, cookies and candy and put them in baskets. My daughter and grandsons also like to make their gifts for me and those are the ones I treasure most.  ;)

When I worked, I used to make candied nuts to give to coworkers. Some would ask for the recipes.

Through the years have made some homemade gifts.  Usually containers of fudge, cookies, etc.   Have also crocheted lap blankets.   My husband made our son a desk a long time ago.   This year we are hoping to make family members a set of cedar coasters.   Recently had a cedar tree cut down and the wood is amazing.   Looking forward to getting those underway.

I no longer do this, but used to love creating things for family. Not all family members appreciated them, some wanted money or giftcards, so I stopped doing it

I think did gifts are nice for adults...maybe kids to adults.  If it's awesome adults to kids. I'm not really a gift giver...or receiver.

Great DIY ideas.  I especially like the cedar coasters because we also had a tree cut. Food is not what I do best.

One year we made slings to carry fire wood in, they were a big hit and 8 years later are still looking great and used often by the whole family.  I make ornaments and send them to all the under 18 kids in the family, with a box for their future tree ornament collection.  I have made plant hangars and door stops.  We made plaques for the little ones with their nicknames (moonshine, star shine, sunshine, etc).  I do fudge, cookies, breads for friends and co-workers.  We are always looking for new ideas.

I don't make Christmas gifts since my family does a grab bag but I do bake for each household which seems to be growing each year.  Was 3 now that kids are grown and getting married there are 8 houses that look for cookies each year.

Last year I got a DIY ornament from my sister... On the outside it read Uncle Larry. Quite a way to let me know that she was having her first baby (which she had just recently)!

I haven't made any DIY Christmas Gifts in many years.  When I was into making gifts I always enjoyed it.  Maybe next year I will try my hand at it again.   :)

I made my mom some jewelry, still have a few things to make. I have to make a body pillow for her, I just haven't felt well enough to do it. I also have some other items I have to sew up!
I also make baked goods, breads, pies, cookies, and going to try a cake this year. And of course a variety of candies and treats! Going to try flavored popcorns and nuts this year!
