Taxes in Politics
« on: November 10, 2016, 08:34:10 am »
I always have been confused and didn't understand taxes in politics completely. I've tried to understand it but does anyone understand this completely? Who is for the tax breaks for the wealth and rich? That is the part that confuses me the most.

The tax breaks for the wealthy and rich are the same ones that all of the people that work take. The only difference is that they get a larger break because they make more money than we do and they have larger amounts in tax breaks because they make more.

If they own a business worth millions, usually they file personal and business tax forms. This is how businesses get thousands of deductions not available to the regular workers. They can write off any business expenditure, travels, car/truck expenses if used for business, phones, etc.

During the election the idea of making the wealthy pay more was pretty hypocritical since those carrying on about it ARE the wealthy. Even Bernie Sanders is wealthy in the eyes of the rest of us, although he doesn't have millions or billions of dollars.

Don't overlook the fact that anyone who earns money in today's economy is usually being paid by someone who is wealthy. The breaks they get are for spending their profits on creating more profits so they can pay more people more money.
