I think it is a waste of time. I'm not happy with how the election went but it is what it is and we just have to live with it.

I just think of all that money that was raised.... what a waste.... that money could have gone somewhere better... how many people are starving in this world and how many people here in America have difficulties? And money just gets wasted... for nothing... makes me angry

She's just trying to cause trouble. Personally I think Clinton is putting her up to it.  Don't know why people do this crap every single election.  If you lose, you lose...

Jill Stein is not doing it to "change the results of the election".   Ms. Stein along with others in the Green party stated long before the election that they would call for a recount in any states where they could be problems.  The intent is to reassure the American people that they can have confidence in their vote.  It is to find out if there are problems with electronic voting and to correct those problems moving forward.   Every American wants to have the confidence that their vote does count.   Everyone should realize there can be problems with electronics and this is the way to discover if there are problems and find ways to correct them moving forward.  I don't think anyone should have a problem with voter verification and election integrity. Per FEC rules any money raised for a recount has to be deposited into a dedicated recount account and can only be sued for the purpose of a recount.  No one is personally profiting from this money except the American people who will be able to be assured that voting in an election is valid.

But they have already said there were no problems.  They are doing it in the states where they "thought" they had it wrapped up.  Several states that typically have been democratic states went Republican and instead of accepting that people voted that way they have to act like a spoiled brat and say well the machines malfunctioned.  No, they didn't.  You lost.  Move on.  And the polls are not really a good way to tell because people can say anything in the surveys.  And you are not surveying but a small select group so you do not know until you get the final results.  Which we have.

I think it is to gain her notice and popularity. May also be a front for Hillary to try again, since she is on board now after admitting defeat.

The electoral college delegates are also being badgered, bribed, and threatened to change their vote to Hillary.

There is a reason Trump won by a landslide. I think it was a vote against this kind of shananigins.

Exactly.  And if they go in and change their votes I am not sure what would happen.  Although I really do not think that will happen.  If you are a delegate you promise to vote the way your state voted.  So I don't think they could get away with changing it any way.

A lot of people are still in shock and truthfully a lot of people are just in shock of who the last 2 standing candidates were. If Hillary won the outcome would be the same. Many people would want a recount as well. Time to just stop fighting a losing battle and give in to democracy. What's done is done and we have to face the music and move on and pray that DT represents this country in a way that the American people can be proud of! :)

Who is this "they" that you refer to as saying there were no problems?   Just curious.   I think you may have misunderstood my point.   If people want to contribute to someone who is verifying then what is the issue?  If one doesn't want to contribute then don't.   It's not hurting anyone.

I think it's a waste of time and money and not going to change anything.

I am not sure what the good is to the recount. Historically have they ever found a recount that was way off? If so, shouldn't they be counting it right the first time?

I think she is wasting her time. Maybe she thinks someday she could be the first woman president. Maybe she likes getting all the attention she is getting.

I think it is a ploy to gain attention for the Green Party platform (even though the Green party does not supportst Jill Stain's  recount). Although I do respect her party for not accepting special interest donors, nothing will change in the recount. Kudos for her to try and fight the injustice of the political system, but the recount cost taxpayers money. And we all know most Americans. They do not like wasting taxpayers money on something that is already set. Donald Trump is our president for 4 years (or less if he is impeached).

She can count all she wants but, unfortunately, I don't think it will make a difference.
Have a wonderful day!

She just suckered a bunch of idiots out of $5 million. Trump has already won 2 recounts. Maybe Hillary paid Jill Stein to do it so it didn't look like she tried it... Now it's the Russians. The Russians definitely influenced the election.... by exposing the fraud Hillary Clinton. She had the news on her side, but she also had dirty criminal laundry and a fake charity. If she lost because the Russians exposed the truth about her, then good.
