I give small toys to the high school, they set up a Christmas gift store for the kids that can't give gifts to their family members. The kids that can pay do, but the kids that can't they do the holiday stroll, so cool and festive. They collect toys all year around. I give toys at different seasons, so the toys are different I have fun at this.  :highfive:

Red Cross, Salvation Army, or Goodwill.. Went and donated my old clothes to Red Cross.. Apparently they contracted a third party pickup service and had to give them to there

I f you were quite comfortable financially, what type(s) of charities would you be most apt to support?  I tend toward those like cancer research, St. Jude's or Shriner's, those that provide basics to those who are homeless or in danger of being homeless, and perhaps scholarships to a few who show the ability and interest to further their education but would never dream of being able to do so financially.

You don't have to be quite comfortable.  You can donate a little no matter how much you make.  I like St Jude.  Missionaries.  Some of the things I have supported in the past I have found out the people who run it are friggin rich.  And their pay comes out of donations.

I always said I would never want to be hungry or cold, so I would donate to charities geared toward those things. Some things to donate would be clothes, blankets, and canned goods.
