i've never wedding gown shopped for myself,
and i'm not sure what your style is, but if i'm
throwing my two cents in... i might as well say
that i'm tired of seeing those dang strapless
dresses that everyone wears anymore.
you know the kind i'm talking about? the bare-
shoulder, hair-up look. i don't know. it just seems
rather... expected?

i guess if i was wedding dress shopping for a
traditional dress, i'd still try to find something
original. and i wouldn't care if anyone said it
looked like a PROM dress or whatever. they could
bite me  :P
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

When I did my shopping, I tried on just about everything I could.  Try on lots and lots of dresses.

It has been many years sense I shopped for a wedding dress for myself.  But I have helped many of my neices and family freinds.  Shopping around is always a good start.  If you are trying to save a little money, my advice to you would be try some concienment shops they have ones that are just for gowns.  Also try looking at your brideal shops that have make downs.  There is one shop close to me that sells gowns and wedding dresses for 100 and under.  Some are used others are not.  But they have some great dresses also great for prom shopping
