Christmas Budget
« on: December 04, 2016, 04:35:12 am »
Do you have a budget for Christmas, and even more important, do you stick to it?  I used to set out with a budget but always ended up going over it.  However, since I am retired, I HAVE to keep to a budget.  I am no longer able to pay for Christmas on credit cards that set me back for 3-4 months paying them off.  In fact, last month's Fusion payout paid for one of the gifts I have bought.

Yes, I have a budget and stick to it. I try to make my gifts more about loving and less about cost.

We set out an assigned amount that we can NOT go over. Hubby works for the state so only gets paid once a month.  No money source otherwise.  Usually I end up doing a little better than expected (thanks to Amazon)

I try to stay on a budget but it seems like I always have another little something I need to get.

I save money each week during the year and that is my budget for Christmas shopping. I usually do pretty good sticking to it.

yep, due to me paying rent alone and going on and off unemployment. So at most say anywhere mfrom $80-200. Sucks because its hard to fix broken things or do repairs.

We are buying just 2 presents for each adult kid. they better buy us more  thankfully they have extra to spend. Like buying for my 5yr old and 11month old grandsons easy just toys . We bought a fake tree last year so put it up and it looks fine. Doing most shopping online at sears or walmart. free shipping thats important.

I have a budget. I did not go over. However, I did spend more on shipping than I thought I would. Overall I still did pretty good with the budget I had. I'm done Christmas shopping other than buying wrapping paper and tape and tags.
