A Piece of Sunshine

I have a beautiful little cat that I adopted from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, back in August.  Lately she's been wandering around my bedroom to find "a piece of sunshine". 

In the morning the sun shines through my bedroom window.  It makes a warm spot on my bedroom carpet and my kitty like to relax on the warm spot.  When she's on the warm and sunshiney spot - she's can experience a state of bliss and soak up a little bit of vitamin D.  It's healthy for her and it contributes to her happiness.

We all deserve to connect with "a piece of sunshine".  I feel healthy and happy whenever I follow my heart.

my cats & dog are my sunshine...being at home with them makes me happy & has health benefits.  They are my special blessings & I thank God for them all the time.  (Loved reading about how the kitty looks around for a "piece of sunshine", so precious!!)

My cat is the same.  She loves to lay in the sunshine or any place that is warm.  When the dryer is running she will lay on that.  When the fireplace is lite, so will go lay right in front of it and just soak up the warmth.

My piece of sunshine is an allocated slot to talk to my sister every day at the same time. We are twins, and have been talking to each other for an hour every day, for our whole lives. We live in different countries and live in very different time zones, but we make time to speak at the same time each day. We laugh about silly things, remember the good old days, share our troubles and voice our opinions on things. Our motto is to keep talking until we agree on something! We talk so regularly that we have to make an appointment NOT to speak.

I live near the beach so I like to go there when I want to relax. Even in winter it's so nice

My sunshine is getting to talk with my daughter everyday. I also love picture taking. Taking pictures of most anything makes me happy.

I have several grandchildren who are my sunshine, every time I talk to them or see pictures etc.

That's such a sweet story! I've supported Best Friends Animal Society in the past.

On a small scale, my piece of sunshine is reading a good book on a quiet day, or taking a hot bath with a sweet-smelling bath bomb and my journal. On a large scale, going downtown to explore, shop, hear good music---the place that makes me feel more at home and myself than anywhere else!
