Bright lights

When you are driving in the dark whether on the way to work or where ever, do the person driving behind you head lights bother your eyes? I am noticing it bothers me more and more as I get older.

No the lights of the person behind me doesn't usually bother me too much but if I am on a small local back road and come upon someone with their brights on, that sure does bother me!

No, the lights of the person behind me in the dark is usually not bothersome, but I sure do get bothered by bright lights coming head on when in the dark on a small local back road.

I agree. The lights on vehicles these days are so bright that it feels like everyone has their hi-beams on all the time. I always have to put my hand over the mirror just to block off the lights.

It depends on how bright they are and sometimes the angle of the beams.  There are some cars (and mostly trucks) where the headlights reflecting in the side and rear view mirrors are absolutely AWFUL.  I think a lot of times it is because of how high the headlights sit on the front of the vehicle.  There have been times where I've had to slouch way down in my driver's seat or adjust my mirror so I couldn't see behind me (both very dangerous, I know) to avoid the blinding light.

Sometimes when this happens, I just find a place to pull over or change lanes and let the guy behind me go past.  It is not ALL headlights, just some, so usually I am lucky enough that the next guy behind doesn't have blinding headlights and I am able to drive freely.
