Driving to work
« on: December 08, 2016, 04:32:00 am »
Do you take the side streets to work or do you drive the highway/freeway?

How long does it take you to get to work?

I drive the side streets and it takes abot 15 minutes with no snow and ice. I am greatful of that.

It takes me about 6 seconds to walk from my bedroom to the computer room.

I take my kids to school every morning & the highway is the only roads I am able to use since we live in city limits. It takes me four minutes to drop off my oldest and about nine to drop off my youngest. That is on a good day with no wrecks or getting behind slow drivers who do not seem to know where the heck they are going.

Thank Goodness I am now retired and don't have to drive to work anymore.  It would take me 15 to 20 minutes to drive to work everyday.  And coming home it would take over a half hour.  Ugh !!!  18 years of that !!

Depending on the traffic, sometimes I take the expressway and sometimes I take the side streets.  It takes me about 45 minutes to drive to work on a good day.

I commute every single day to work by using public transportation because it is safe and reliable.

I don't work, but I spend my days on the road taking one person or another to doctor appointments or the pharmacy or grocery store.  I always try to use side streets, especially right at the holidays as the main roads are always so busy and are full of wrecks.

I have a two mile drive to my job.

And, like oldbuddy, it only takes a few steps to get to my online office.

My office is only a half mile from my house, so I can walk if the weather is nice and I don't have other outside appointments away from my office.  But I still often drive just in case...

Lately I've been riding the city bus when I donate plasma.  That's kind of like going to work.  I have to be on the bus for almost an hour because it has a designated route.  I'm okay with that because I like the scenery.  I'm also okay with that because I'm only paying $3 for transportation where I'm going to be paid $30 for donating.

I could ride a bike but this time of year it's nicer to be inside the bus.
Have a great day!

I'm about a mile away from a highway, so I take that to work. It only takes about 5-10 minutes to get there.
