Does anyone suffer from BP problems where your BP shoots up when you stand but is normal when you lay? How do you manage this? Any advice?

I never had an issue when I stood or sat. I always use flax seed in my foods and drink lots of water.

You should see a physician. I am on BP medicine and have been for about 10 years. BP is nothing to mess around with. Get an appointment to get it checked out.

Oh, I have been taking meds for more than a decade, this is just something new it is doing. Things like this always seem to happen on a Friday orh oliday when it is impossible to get to the doctor. smh

I would go to the doctor.  I remember a while back someone in the family talking about someone having this issue and they had to be put on meds.

I apologize if I sound a little naive. But if you are sitting around your blood pressure is likely to be quite stable, then if you get out the chair your blood pressure is likely to go up because you are moving your body. It probably will then stabilize somewhat because you are up and about, and when you sit back down it will drop back down. I guess the question is, is it dangerously high and if so, is it too high over a prolonged period of time. I think I would definitely get it checked by a professional if you are worried about it.

BP- I think you are talking about blood pressure. You are in command...it is all up to you. What to do
and to avoid. If you cannot control your BP problems, there is always medications for that.

There are herbs and other items in your kitchen you can use.  There is cinnamon that helps with your BP. Use Turmeric.  Do some research on how to control your BP.  Turmeric and Cinnamon will definitely help you.  I use them in foods I eat, protein shakes and green tea.

I am on meds, but sometimes I get a migraine and it is usually from stress and BP going up. I also sometimes get dizzy moving to fast. Laying down does not help, in fact with me, it makes it worse. I take the Excedrin tension headache and that helps drastically! I usually only have to take one and it is gone within a half hour.

When you say "shoots up", I'm assuming you mean pretty darn high. If so, bite the bullet and go to the doctor. I fought taking blood pressure medications for quite some time and I paid for it. I went by ambulance to the ER and then to ICU over the Christmas season.

Now 'I'm a believer without a trace of doubt in my mind' (I love the Monkees) :monkey: and I will take the doggone RX for the rest of my life.
